TestHubLink Device

TestHubLink is the hardware unit installed inside a physical car. Once fitted, it connects the vehicle to the TestHub platform and streams live data back to the fleet. Each car uses exactly one TestHubLink device.

When a device is paired and syncing, the car comes to life in TestHub: it gains a Live Status tab, appears on the fleet map, records its trips automatically, and — when enabled — exposes on-demand Diagnostics.

The device reports the car’s current location continuously. You can watch the vehicle move across the fleet map and see its position reflected in the car’s live status at any moment.

Beyond position, TestHubLink surfaces a live readout of the vehicle — where it is, whether it is moving, and other related live values. Open the car’s Live Status tab to see the current picture updating in near real time.

You do not have to start or stop anything. Whenever the car is driven, TestHubLink captures the drive as a GPS trip. Completed trips are stored against the car so you can review where and when it has travelled.

When diagnostics are available for a car, you can request a diagnostic (UDS) read on demand. The results are surfaced in the car’s Diagnostics tab, letting you inspect vehicle values remotely without physically connecting to the car.

TestHubLink lets the platform tell when the vehicle is being interacted with, so the fleet can distinguish an active, in-use car from one that is simply parked.

Every TestHubLink belongs to a single car, and pairing is handled by an administrator. An admin links the physical device to the correct vehicle from the TestHub Link management area in Administration.

After pairing, allow a short moment for the device to begin syncing. Once data starts flowing, the car automatically unlocks its live features:

  • The car has no Live Status tab or is missing from the map. Confirm a TestHubLink is paired to the car and that it has started syncing. Newly paired devices can take a moment before the first data arrives.
  • No trips are being recorded. Trips are captured only while the device is syncing and the car is driven. Check that the pairing is still active.
  • Diagnostics are unavailable. Remote diagnostics must be enabled for the car. If the Diagnostics tab is missing, ask an administrator to confirm the device and its configuration.
