Live Status & Trips
Cars fitted with a TestHubLink device stream live telemetry back to TestHub. This lets you see where a car is right now, what it is doing, and every drive it has made. All telemetry features are enabled per department, so they only appear if your department has telemetry turned on.
Live Status tab
Section titled “Live Status tab”Open any equipped car and select the Live Status tab. It has three parts:
- Map — shows the car’s current position, updated as new data arrives from the TestHubLink.
- Live values — gauges and indicators for real-time readings reported by the device (for example speed, position, and other telemetry the car exposes).
- Trip history — a list of every recorded drive for the car, newest first.
If the car has no TestHubLink, the Live Status tab does not appear.
A trip is a single recorded drive. Trips are created in two ways.
Automatic trips (GPS)
Section titled “Automatic trips (GPS)”While a car with a TestHubLink is driving, the device records the route from its GPS signal. TestHub turns this into a trip automatically — no action is needed from you. These trips are marked as AUTO_GPS.
Manual trips
Section titled “Manual trips”You can also log a drive yourself from one of your reservations:
- Open the reservation for the car you drove.
- Choose to log a trip.
- Enter the start odometer and end odometer readings.
- Save.
Manual trips are useful for cars without a device, or to record a drive that was not captured automatically.
Trips and reservations
Section titled “Trips and reservations”Every trip is linked to the reservation(s) it overlaps in time. This means you can always see which booking a given drive belongs to, and, from a reservation, which drives happened during it. Automatic and manual trips are linked the same way.
Fleet map
Section titled “Fleet map”The Fleet map (/map) shows the live positions of every TestHubLink-equipped car across the whole fleet on a single map. Use it to get an at-a-glance overview of where all connected cars are, rather than checking each car one by one.
Like the other telemetry features, the Fleet map is only available to departments that have telemetry enabled.
