Notes
The Notes tab provides a collaborative space for sharing information about the testbench.
Notes List
Section titled “Notes List”The main part of the tab displays all notes in chronological order. Each note shows:
- The note text content
- The name of the user who created it
- The date and time when it was created
Notes are arranged with the newest at the top, making it easy to see the most recent information.
Creating Notes
Section titled “Creating Notes”To add a new note:
- Type your note text in the text field at the top of the tab
- Click the Add Note button
- Your note will appear instantly in the list with your name and the current time
Notes can include:
- Important information about the testbench
- Updates on status or condition
- Reminders for other users
- Issues to be aware of
- Setup instructions or tips
Managing Notes
Section titled “Managing Notes”With appropriate permissions, you can:
- Delete notes you’ve created (look for the delete icon next to your notes)
- View notes from all users who have access to the testbench
Collaboration Benefits
Section titled “Collaboration Benefits”The Notes tab is designed for collaboration:
- All users with access to the testbench can see all notes
- Notes persist between sessions for consistent communication
- Notes serve as a running commentary on the testbench’s status and history
This makes it an excellent tool for:
- Handover between team members
- Documenting known issues
- Sharing tips and tricks for using the specific testbench
- Recording changes or maintenance performed
