General
The General tab displays detailed information about the testbench and allows editing with appropriate permissions.
Information Fields
Section titled “Information Fields”Depending on the testbench type, you may see:
- Engine details
- Model information
- Logger configuration
- SOP (Start of Production) date
- VIN number
- Connectivity credentials
- Other specialized fields
Some fields only appear for vehicles, not for testbenches (e.g., tires, engine, mileage).
Field Types
Section titled “Field Types”The General tab includes several types of fields:
- Text fields for entering information
- Dropdown menus for selecting from predefined options
- Date selectors for time-related information
- Numeric fields for values like mileage
Updating Information
Section titled “Updating Information”With appropriate permissions:
- Edit the relevant fields
- Click the Update button at the bottom of the form
- A confirmation message appears when successful
Information Warning
Section titled “Information Warning”If a field has a dropdown option that was previously selected but is no longer available, it will show a warning indicator. This can happen if an administrator has removed an option from the system.
Field Validation
Section titled “Field Validation”Some fields have validation requirements:
- Required fields must be filled out before saving
- Format validation for fields like VIN numbers
- Range validation for numeric fields
If validation fails, an error message will display explaining what needs to be corrected.
